How can so many find so much darkness and ugliness in a world filled with such beauty and light? Perhaps the more important question is why do they search for it? Are some people like black holes perpetually trying to suck the beauty and light from the world and turn into darkness, while others are like suns illuminating the beauty? They say nothing can escape a black hole, not even light. I disagree. My light can not be drawn into your darkness. Just like a square peg can not be drawn into a round hole. I can look at you with curiosity and without fear.
I think it's whether you choose to SEE that it exists or not or choose to wear cool sunglasses that hide everything icky in the world ;) light can not exist without dark same with the people like the whole yin-yang thing. very cool pictures- like the heart- how did you find that! my german friend found the coolest HEART SHAPED rocks in NZ not kidding...but she gave it to her boyfriend...I will forever be jealous!!!!

ReplyDeleteSometimes I wonder if we do have a choice. Or instead if light is just light and dark is just dark. An unchangeable nature of our spirits. But yes there can be no light without dark. Or rather there can be difefrent shades of light without dark. The point is that there must be contrast. The darker shades of light will be perceived as dark.
ReplyDeleteThe photos were from a beautiful wintry fathers day in the hills. There was drizzle earlier. The picnic table dried out except for the love heart shaped little puddle. Sometimes circumstances combine to make something exceptionally beautiful.
